MESSAGE FROM OUR CLUB CAPTAINS

“Edmond O Sullivan and Sally Drennan, your male and female team captains respectively, wish our 150 Midleton AC athletes the very best of luck on Sunday. Wear that Midleton AC shirt with pride. It’s all about taking part, enjoying yourself, enjoying the aftermath and the craic. PB’s, category placings and prizes are all a bonus……..but getting over the line at your own pace will do just fine!!
Now….a few final details
1. Don’t forget Donie’s car up at the pitch and putt car park – you can leave your last minute gear/keys etc there safely. It’s been a gathering point for Midleton AC for years.
2. Remember there is an excellent free shuttle bus service between Garryvoe and Ballycotton from morning to afternoon. Very handy for getting in and out of Ballycotton without parking hassle.
3. Your hard working social committee have arranged the following;
There are six hotel rooms put aside by Garryvoe hotel exclusively for use by Midleton AC athletes for post race shower and changing – 3 for ladies and 3 for men. Say you are Midleton AC at reception and they will direct you to the rooms.
There will be soup provided by Midleton AC for all members ( and immediate family members) at the bar in the hotel after the race. Again just say you are from Midleton AC.
A gang of members ( mainly male!.......) are heading back to the Blackbird pub in Ballycotton to catch the Ireland-France rugby match, 3 – 5pm….all welcome!
For the 70 odd members attending the dinner, try to get seated for 6.30 in the function room ( the old ballroom) so you will have plenty of time to chat and eat before the disco kicks off from 9 to 12pm
The bus for the 20 signed up for same ( it is a 26 seater so a few places are left) will leave from the hotel car-park at 12, calling to Cloyne/Carrigtwohil/Midleton
