The East Cork novice and masters cross country will take place on Sunday, 22 September.  For anyone who is interested in taking up cross country this year for the first time, this is a great event to start with.  It will be an easy course with only the local clubs taking part.
We hope to have a strong Midleton AC team at this event and we need you.Yes you because in cross country each and every runner fast or slow plays their part in the team. We really do want as many as possible to come and take part. The races are not long and it does not take up much time and your family can come and watch if they wish. You dont have to be taking part in the Sat morning training to run so come on out and give it a go.

For further information please contact Sally - tel. 087 2265857 or thedrennans@eircom.net.

Cross country training continues every Saturday morning at 9.00 am in the Curragh Woods, just outside Midleton.  There is a small, but gradually growing, group enjoying this session led by Matt (or in his absence -  Stan).

It is a fantastic track run, covering a great variety of interesting and hilly terrain in a very peaceful, quiet location.  All those who have joined the group so far are extremely enthusiastic about it.  For anyone looking for a fun, challenging run and wanting a change from running on tarmac and in traffic come along some Saturday.  This run is open to anyone, not just those intending to run cross country.
