CAPTAIN'S RUN
The clubs annual Club Captain's Run is being organised by our new men's captain Noel O'Regan and this year its a run with a difference.For the first time we wont be running in the woods but on the road.We will be using the Carrigtwohill 5km course.This is really a fun run in aid of a great cause "Suicide Aware" and the big difference is that anyone can win. Yes ! even you can win.
The race is run on a handycap basis with the slowest runner starting off first and the fastest going off last. ie If you normally say take 30 mins for 5km then the person who normally takes 20mins will start 10mins after you etc etc etc.and the idea is that all runners finish around the same time. Tea and refreshments will be provided after by Edmond O'Sullivan and his magic bus. We all meet up in the grounds of Barryscourt Castle and the race starts at 11 am on the 24th. What else would you be doing on Christmas Eve morning at 11am.
